Although the College has an open door admissions policy, admission to the nursing program is selective. Admissions decisions are made by members of the nursing faculty working together with the admissions office based on specific nursing admission criteria.

DegreeWorks is a degree audit team used by SUNY schools. It allows students and advisors to review progress toward graduation. DegreeWorks helps students understand their journey to graduation.

Each Full-time student is assigned to a faculty member for academic advisement, and usually stays with the same advisor until graduation unless the student changes degree programs. Part-time students are usually advised through Student Success.

Advising is a two-way street, both the student and the advisor have responsibilities in the process.
