The 2024-25 academic year is underway at Tompkins Cortland Community College with an increase in enrollment for the third straight year. The increase in core enrollment at TC3 is up 6.5% from last year, with the biggest increase coming in students attending part-time (12.4%).

Once again this year, the freshman class is made up predominantly by local students. Nearly 60 percent of new students come from Tompkins and Cortland Counties, and another 25 percent of the class comes from neighboring counties. Among the new class, seven percent come from other states or countries, including Canada, Dominican Republic, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.
