Exchange Programs

Since 2011, Tompkins Cortland has been designated by the U. S. Department of State to sponsor international students and scholars through the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program. During this time, we have sponsored nearly 1000 students and many visiting scholars.

Every year, Tompkins Cortland sponsors nearly 100 international students through the Academic Exchange Program at Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, Florida. These students come to us through partner institutions in Barbados, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Peru. The Disney program is an immersive learning experience in which students function independently while living and working with people from all over the world at one of the world’s largest and most successful entertainment companies. Students develop knowledge, skills, and values through experiential learning outside a traditional academic setting.
