Concurrent Enrollment
Formerly called "dual credit", concurrent enrollment refers to a course where qualified students earn both high school and college credit for one course, taught by a high school teacher who has been approved to instruct the college course. This program enables students to take challenging, college-level courses in high school, strengthen the transition from high school to college, and earn college credits that can then be transferred to many colleges and universities in New York and throughout the country.
The decision to enroll in challenging college courses and initiate a college transcript while still in high school is a big step. The pages on this website have been created to help students, parents, teachers, counselors and school administrators learn what they need to know about concurrent enrollment to make informed decisions. Use the menu on the right to navigate around the website and find the answers to your questions about concurrent enrollment classes through CollegeNow.
