Online Learning

Student on Computer

Tompkins Cortland is a leader in online education, so you get a robust online experience with faculty who have been doing this for years. It's flexible, so it's fits your schedule. It's affordable because we're a community college.

Cost/Savings
For fully online classes, even out-of-state students pay only the “resident” tuition of $204 per credit hour. In-state students must still provide a Certificate of Residence.

Programs
We offer a host of fully online programs, along with many that can be completed nearly entirely online. For students who want a mix of traditional in-class experiences and online, we do that too.

Tompkins Cortland Community College is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and follows the complaint resolution policies and procedures outlined within the SARA Policy Manual and summarized at Student Complaints | NC-SARA. Consumer protection complaints resulting from distance education courses, activities, and operations may be submitted to the Provost’s Office for investigation and resolution. If a student is dissatisfied with the campus-based resolution, a concern may be submitted to System Administration of the State University of New York as outlined at Student Concerns | SUNY. And, if still not satisfied, a complaint may be submitted, within two years of the incident about which the complaint is made, to the New York State Education Department as outlined at Filing a Complaint About a College or University | New York State Education Department. Please note, this does not include complaints related to grades or student conduct violations, both of which are to be fully addressed via campus processes, not through the NC-SARA complaint resolution procedures. Furthermore, please visit Professional Licensure Disclosure | Tompkins Cortland Community College for a list of the College’s Professional License disclosures.
