Pomeroy Named TC3 Foundation Executive Director
Jason Pomeroy has been appointed Executive Director of the Tompkins Cortland Community College Foundation. He began in the position in July.
As the leader of the TC3 Foundation, Pomeroy will be responsible for leading fundraising and private philanthropy to support the College and its students. He comes to the position with extensive experience fundraising in higher education having worked at SUNY Cortland as the Director of The Cortland Fund for three years after previously working at Ithaca College and Cazenovia College. He also has worked as the Annual Leadership Development Director for the Smile Train, and most recently served as the Regional Executive Director of the American Heart Association.
“I am excited to be able to return to higher education,” said Pomeroy. “I know how incredibly gratifying it is to support the efforts of a college. The work of the TC3 Foundation makes a real difference in the lives of students, which in turn has an impact on the community. This is exactly why I love this opportunity and can’t wait to see how we can continue and grow the work of the Foundation.”
The TC3 Foundation was founded in 1978 with a mission of secure resources to enhance the learning opportunities for students at TC3. Through the years, the Foundation has supported thousands of students with scholarships, grants, and assistance for unexpected transportation needs, food, and childcare challenges.
