Nine Student-Athletes Honored for Academic Excellence
Nine Tompkins Cortland Community College student-athletes have been honored for their academic excellence by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). All-Academic Team honors were bestowed upon Cameron Doane (Owego/Owego Free Academy), Joseph Leonard (Cortland/Cortland H.S.), Marven Louissaint (Brooklyn/Erasmus Hall H.S.), Logan Nordman (Onondaga/Onondaga H.S.), Dylan Ford (Cortland/Cortland H.S.), Arianna Manwaring (Tioga/Tioga H.S.), Ashley Hoyte (Dryden/Dryden H.S.), Angelina Oliver (Moravia/Moravia H.S.), and Karissa Wilbur (McGraw/McGraw H.S.).
Manwaring (volleyball) and Wilbur (women’s basketball) were named to the All-Academic First Team, which is reserved for student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Leonard (men’s basketball) and Oliver (women’s basketball) each were named to the second team, which requires a GPA of 3.80-3.99. Doane (men’s lacrosse), Louissaint (men’s basketball), Nordman (men’s basketball and lacrosse), Ford (men’s lacrosse), and Hoyte (volleyball) were named to the third team, which requires a GPA of 3.60-3.79.
