Dean Corbin Appointed to College Board of Trustess
Dean Corbin of Cortland has been appointed to the Tompkins Cortland Community College Board of Trustees by New York State Governor Kathy Hochul. Corbin is on the board as a representative of Cortland County, with a term that expires in 2029. He fills a seat that has been held by Bruce Tytler.
Corbin is the co-founder of CGMedia Partners in Cortland, a company that designs and builds websites for small businesses and municipalities. He is a SQL Developer for Ontrack Health, a Nevada-based leader in AI-driven healthcare, and has worked in information technology for the House of the Good Shepherd in Utica and Franziska Racker Centers in Ithaca. His first college degree was a B.A. in political science and social philosophy from SUNY Cortland. After working professionally for several years, he returned to college and earned an A.A.S. in computer information systems from Tompkins Cortland Community College.
Outside of work, Corbin is active with the Boys Scouts of America, serving as treasurer for Pack 1 in Homer, and serves as an election inspector for the Cortland County Board of Elections.
The Tompkins Cortland Community College Board of Trustees consists of 10 members, including a student trustee elected by the student body. The governor appoints four trustees, two each from Tompkins and Cortland Counties; the Cortland County Legislature appoints two; and the Tompkins County Legislature appoints three.
