Chris Austen Named Director of Campus Police

Chris Austen has been appointed Director of Campus Police at Tompkins Cortland Community College. He started at TC3 in July.

Austen has more than 20 years of experience in law enforcement, including 14 years on a college campus. He started his professional career in Brattleboro, Vermont, working as an officer for the Brattleboro Police Department for more than six years. A native of Dryden, he returned to the area to join the New York State University Police at Cortland. He was promoted to lieutenant in 2016 and held that position for the last eight years before coming to TC3.
