Barb Thayer Named Employee of the Month

Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs Barb Thayer has been named the Tompkins Cortland Community College Employee of the Month for August. 

Thayer is one of the longest-tenured employees at the College, having worked at TC3 for more than 30 years. She is a very visible person on campus, always willing to provide help to anyone. Her institutional knowledge and desire to help everyone make her the “go-to person” in Student Affairs. Thayer’s positive pleasant attitude and pleasant demeanor, combined with her willingness to take on extra work and volunteer at almost every college event, make her an extremely valuable part of TC3.

The Employee of the Month program recognizes individuals who exemplify the values and mission of the College with their outstanding service and attitude. Nominations for the award are accepted from students, staff, or members of the community.

As the Employee of the Month, Thayer receives a gift certificate to a local business, a TC3 Employee of the Month tumbler, and exclusive use of the Employee of the Month parking spot.
