How It’s MADE: Manufacturing and Development Expo (MADE) is a unique opportunity where regional manufacturers provide interactive opportunities to educate and engage high school students with hands-on demonstrations and activities as they learn about the many important and interesting careers in manufacturing.

This event is in partnership with local businesses, agencies, and educational providers to showcase work opportunities. Hundreds of high school students from across the region will participate with more than 20 local businesses, showcasing fantastic work environments that contribute to the economic strength of our community by producing high-quality goods and services.

Register by July 19 to secure your booth at MADE 2024!

Your interactive display or hands-on activities can include anything related to your business, or products that you think would interest students. Need some ideas? We're here to help you plan your booth activity! Contact careerteam@tompkinscortland.edu to set up a time to chat. 

Bring your school group

We invite you to bring students in grades 9-12 to MADE 2024. Students will learn about a wide variety of careers in manufacturing and engage in fun, hands-on educational activities from more than 20 regional companies! Representatives will be at each table to do demos, facilitate activities, and share what their companies make, the kinds of jobs they have, and more.

Register by September 23 Please note that you will need accurate numbers of students and chaperones when you register. Lunch is included.

New this year! You will get to choose your start time (please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your allotted start time). Late arrivals will be required to wait until the next available start time.

This is a terrific opportunity for your business to play a vital role in a true community collaboration. Sponsorship funds cover costs associated with signage, event branding, and food expenses for all attendees to make the event fully accessible to all regional high school students.
