College Seeks Partners for Manufacturing Day Expo

Tompkins Cortland Community College is currently accepting registrations for employers to participate in the 2024 Manufacturing and Development Expo (MADE) on October 10.  MADE is part of the national Manufacturing Day programming, with a primary goal of introducing high school students to the many varied careers that exist within the manufacturing industry.

In 2023, the MADE event at the TC3 campus in in Dryden welcomed 380 high school students from across the region. The students engaged in hands-on activities and displays with 23 local manufacturers, spending time at each employer’s table trying activities and learning about careers in manufacturing. The number of students participating in 2024 is expected to increase, with nearly 20 school districts already expressing interest in attending. By providing information about lucrative and in-demand jobs that can be available after high school as well as with a college degree, the expo has a long-term goal of helping create a talent pipeline within our region.

The College is currently accepting registration for employers interested in tabling at the 2024 MADE event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on October 10. Those interested can email careerteam@tompkinscortland.edu with questions and to register.
