Matty Hamel

Matty Hamel has been teaching at Tompkins Cortland full-time since 1980. A graduate herself of Tompkins Cortland from 1977, she went on to earn a BS degree from Ithaca College, an MS degree from SUNY Cortland in Education and a second M. from Binghamton University in Social Sciences.

Her course loads include sections of Introduction to Psychology, Child Psychology, Social Psychology & Development across the Lifespan. Matty is the 2006 recipient of the Chancellor's/Trustees' Award for Excellence in Teaching.

In her personal life she enjoys golfing, swimming, gardening and reading.
