Kim Sharpe graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y.
She then started her career at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. She was a nurse manager of an oncology unit in Orlando, Fla., before she moved back to this area. She worked in the ICU at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse before changing to become a nurse case manage at Aetna Insurance for a few years.
She obtained her master’s degree in nursing from Syracuse University and then taught at Crouse Hospital School of Nursing for 10 years before coming to Tompkins Cortland. She currently works per diem as an RN at Hospicare along with her position as department chair and professor here at the College.
