Chrissie Askew Named Employee of the Month

Chrissie Askew receiving award

Chrissie Askew, faculty suite administrative assistant, is the Tompkins Cortland Community College Employee of the Month for January.

Askew was praised for being friendly and helpful, going “above and beyond” to help faculty, adjuncts, students, and anyone who needs help. One faculty member noted that she assists them virtually every day, but that they were especially impressed with how well she interacts with students. Her willingness to take on any task without hesitation was noted, along with how well she represents the college. An employee at TC3 for 16 years, Askew was called a “tremendous asset to the college.”

The Employee of the Month program recognizes individuals who exemplify the values and mission of the College with their outstanding service and attitude. Nominations for the award are accepted from students, staff, or members of the community.

As the Employee of the Month, Tompkins receives a gift certificate to a local business, a TC3 Employee of the Month tumbler, and exclusive use of the Employee of the Month parking spot.

Nominations can be made at any time for future Employees of the Month through an online nomination form.
