Article 129-A 6438-B Access to medication abortion prescription drugs

The Health and Wellness Services Health Center offers various supports for students seeking assistance with pregnancy. The College itself does not provide pregnancy or prenatal care. However, the Health Center maintains a comprehensive list of community agencies and providers who offer pregnancy services, including prenatal care, adoption, and abortion counseling. Here's a summary of the assistance provided:

  1. Community Agency Referrals: The Health Center will refer students to community agencies for pregnancy-related care, such as prenatal care, adoption, and abortion counseling.
  2. Abortion Medication: A list of authorized providers who can prescribe abortion medication is maintained by the Health Center.
  3. Transportation Assistance: If a student lacks transportation to access these community services, the Health Center will facilitate transportation to and from community agencies and providers at no cost to the student.
  4. Accommodations for Pregnancy: Students requiring accommodations due to pregnancy or related conditions will be referred to the Office of Access and Equity.

Our approach ensures that students receive necessary care and support through external resources and support on campus including mental health counseling, nursing care, transportation, and accommodations.
